Why did Eric Lim YK founded Omni Carpentree?
Residential projects often become difficult after the design looks settled. Materials still need to suit the location. Drawings must communicate enough detail for production. Hardware, accessories, lighting and services need to work together. Site conditions may require amendments, and the original design intent must survive the move from concept to installation.
Eric founded Omni Carpentree to strengthen this part of the process. The aim is not to turn every homeowner into a cabinet expert or ask every designer to carry more technical work. It is to give designers and their clients clearer material information, better coordinated cabinet components, planned production and practical support in Singapore.
Omni Carpentree strengthens the designer's work. It does not compete for creative ownership of the project.

In Singapore, a smaller workshop supports installation, suitable for quick amendments and traditional plywood and laminate carpentry. This combination reflects Eric's view that production capability and local support must work together.
The system can coordinate a wider mix of boards, custom door materials, selected hardware, internal accessories, lights, sensors and drivers. The electrician remains responsible for lighting installation, electrical points, wiring and connection. Traditional carpentry remains available when it better suits the project.
